About

Daniel E.Zajic,Ph.D.

Associate Professor of Health, Human Performance, and Athletics · Linfield University

Daniel completed his Ph.D. in Biology at Portland State University under Dr. Jason Podrabsky, and received his B.A. in Biology from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA.

At Linfield, Daniel primarily teaches Human Anatomy, with an emphasis on helping students make sense of the human body through curiosity, accessibility, and meaningful learning.

As a first-generation American, college graduate, and member of the LGBTQ+ community, he believes in the power of representation in science and views mentoring as an opportunity to promote underrepresented groups in the scientific community.

In his spare time, he mixes cocktails and bakes — believing food and drink are best shared.

The Series

Anatomy of a Drink is a daily cocktail series, one drink every day. The logo mark integrates an inverted cocktail glass into the letter T, suggesting pouring, transformation, and the process of deconstructing and reconstructing a drink.
