This espresso martini riff comes from Leandro DiMonriva (@theeducatedbarfly). Aquavit is a Scandinavian spirit distilled from potatoes or grain, which is then redistilled with a number of flavors, but most importantly caraway or dill. Originally, it was praised for its apparent medicinal properties in the 1500s.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1½ oz · 45 mlaquavit
- ½ oz · 15 mlcoffee liqueur
- 1 oz · 30 mlespresso
- ½ oz · 15 mlsimple syrup
- 2 dashescocoa bitters
Method

Add all ingredients to shaker tin.
- 2
Shake with ice until chilled.

Fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora.
- 4
Garnish with three coffee beans.
