About
Thought by some to be the world’s first cocktail, El Draque is attributed to Sir Francis Drake in the late 1500s. The story goes that he mixed a crude spirit known as aguardiente with lime, sugar, and mint to help ward off illness aboard his ships. This version, sourced from Smuggler’s Cove, uses aged cachaça in place of aguardiente, but the structure remains simple and timeless. Bright, herbal, and refreshing, it is easy to see why this template has endured for centuries.Cheers y’all!
