This cocktail was created by Ryan Magarian (@ryanmagarianpdx) and is exactly what the name promises: a cross between a Jungle Bird and a Last Word. You get the bitter tropical backbone of the Jungle Bird with pineapple and Campari, while the gin and maraschino pull it toward that Last Word lane. The Chartreuse mist on the lime garnish is the final wink that really ties the concept together.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlblackstrap rum
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlgin
- ½ oz · 15 mlCampari
- ½ oz · 15 mlmaraschino liqueur
- 1½ oz · 45 mlpineapple juice
- ½ oz · 15 mlfresh lime juice
- ¼ oz · 7.5 mlsimple syrup
- lime wheel misted with Green Chartreuse, to garnish
Method

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin.

Add ice and shake until chilled.

Strain into a chilled coupe or Nick and Nora.

Garnish with a lime wheel misted with Green Chartreuse.
