This cocktail was created by Sam Ross (@samueljoelross) at Attaboy in New York City in 2017. The equal split of navy-strength gin and fino sherry gives it a dry, savory backbone, while the orgeat adds almond richness and a little extra body. A dash of absinthe adds a small herbal lift.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1 oz · 30 mlnavy-strength gin
- 1 oz · 30 mlfino sherry
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lemon juice
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlorgeat
- 1 dashabsinthe
Method
- 1
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin.
- 2
Add ice and shake until chilled.
- 3
Strain into a chilled coupe or Nick and Nora.
- 4
Garnish with a lemon twist (optional).
