About
This cocktail was created by Benjamin Schwartz at Little Branch in New York City in 2010. It is essentially a more herbal take on a Martini, pairing gin with aromatized wine and a generous half ounce of Green Chartreuse. The Cocchi Americano keeps things bright and lightly bitter, while Chartreuse brings plenty of herbs and spice without completely taking over the gin. A lemon twist is all it needs to finish things off. The version published in the Bartender’s Choice app uses equal half-ounce measures of Cocchi Americano and Green Chartreuse, although other versions of the drink have circulated with slightly different proportions.Cheers y’all!
