This cocktail was created in 2020 by Felix Woods (@flxwds) at Black Pearl in Melbourne, Australia. It drinks like a juicy tropical margarita, with tequila up front and a little smoky mezcal underneath. The Aperol gives it a gentle bittersweet edge and that glowing sunset hue, while the pineapple and passionfruit keep it bright.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1 oz · 30 mltequila blanco
- ½ oz · 15 mlmezcal
- ½ oz · 15 mlAperol
- ½ oz · 15 mlpineapple juice
- ½ oz · 15 mlfresh lime juice
- ¼ oz · 7.5 mlsimple syrup
- 1 tsp · 5 mlpassionfruit syrup
Method

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin.

Add ice and shake until chilled.

Strain into a double rocks glass over fresh ice.

Garnish with a lime wheel or lime wedge.
