This cocktail was created by Jordan Hughes (@highproofpreacher). Reposado tequila and passionfruit start things off bright and tropical, followed by the earthy, bittersweet weight of a very generous Cynar float. At least, it is supposed to be a float. Mine immediately sank into the drink, so the dramatic layered look did not exactly go according to plan, but the flavors still worked beautifully together. The mint adds a fresh aromatic layer against all that agave, fruit, and bitterness.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 2 oz · 60 mltequila reposado
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lemon juice
- ½ oz · 15 mlpassionfruit syrup
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlCynar, to float
Method

Add all ingredients except the Cynar to a shaker tin.

Add ice and shake until chilled.

Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.

Carefully float the Cynar over the surface.
- 5
Garnish with a mint bouquet.
