This cocktail was created by Jon Nutter (@capt.creamcheese) at Attaboy (@attaboy134) in New York City in 2023. It uses the equal-parts framework of a Last Word, but takes it somewhere much darker and funkier. Pot still Jamaican rum (Doctor Bird) brings plenty of character, while Green Chartreuse and coffee liqueur create a surprisingly natural mix of herbs, spice, and roasted bitterness. Lime cuts cleanly through the whole thing.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlpot still Jamaican rum (Doctor Bird)
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlGreen Chartreuse
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlcoffee liqueur
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lime juice
Method

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin.

Add ice and shake vigorously until chilled.

Strain into a chilled coupe.
- 4
Garnish with a coffee bean (optional).
