About
This cocktail was created by Isaiah LaBelle (@onesipclub) for Angostura Week. He texted me the recipe and asked for help naming it, and we landed on Bitter & Famous, a nod to Joaquín Simó’s Naked and Famous. It keeps that drink’s equal-parts structure but replaces Aperol with a full measure of Angostura bitters, pushing everything into darker, spicier territory. Yellow Chartreuse and lime keep that intensity in balance, while mezcal adds smoke and a heavy pinch of salt pulls it all into focus. It sounds aggressive on paper, but it drinks surprisingly balanced.Cheers y’all!
