About
This cocktail was created by Kevin Armstrong (@kev__armstrong) at Match Bar in London in 2004. I found this version through the Bartender’s Choice app, although other published specs online differ in both proportions and preparation. The original Match Bar manual describes the drink as dry and refreshing and uses the same core combination of gin, Campari, grapefruit, lemon, passionfruit, and mint. The combo gives it plenty of bitterness and citrus, while the simple and passionfruit soften the sharper edges. The mint keeps the whole thing especially fresh. This one lives up to the name, and with only an ounce of gin, these specs keep it light enough that it would be very easy to crush a few without feeling like you’re drinking something especially boozy.Cheers y’all!
