About
This cocktail was created by James Grant (@oldgrayrabbit). It is a coffee-laced riff on a Boulevardier, swapping whiskey for smoky Scotch and bringing coffee liqueur into the mix. This recipe was published for years with dry vermouth, but James confirmed with me over DMs that it should actually be sweet vermouth. It was originally made with Lagavulin 16, which still makes the best version, but with the price of that bottle these days, something smoky, peaty, and tarry would also work well here.Cheers y'all!
