About
This cocktail was created by Rhiannon Enlil (@barchiving) at Cure (@curenola) in New Orleans. In Cure: New Orleans Drinks and How to Mix ’Em, she describes it as a cachaça sour with a layered effect that moves from golden green to purple as the red wine floats over the surface, matching the colors of Carnival. Green Chartreuse and ginger give the cachaça and lime an herbal, spicy edge, while the red wine float adds another layer of fruit and dryness. Rhiannon also points out that gravity actually helps with the presentation, with the sweeter Chartreuse naturally settling lower in the drink.Cheers y’all!
