This cocktail comes from the Marlin Bar (Lahaina; now closed). This one is named for the scotch used (Monkey Shoulder), but any blended scotch will do. Scotch is an underrated spirit in tropical drinks. The light smoke complements the banana, almond, and spices. This one will transport you to the beach.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 2 oz · 60 mlblended scotch
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlbanana liqueur
- 1 oz · 30 mlfresh lime juice
- 1 oz · 30 mlorgeat
- 4 dashesAngostura bitters
Method

Add all ingredients to shaker tin.

Add a small amount of crushed ice and shake until chilled.

Dirty dump into glass.

Top with crushed or pebble ice.
- 5
Garnish with mint bouquet after slapping it to express oils and optional plastic monkey.
