This cocktail was created by Michael Yusko at Cure (New Orleans, LA) under pressure. Truly, it came together in a rush of improvisation and instinct. As Yusko puts it, “I never worked on a cocktail until there was a gun to my head.” With Cynar as the base, lime juice chosen on a coin toss, and green Chartreuse added on a whim, the drink captures the spontaneity of the moment it was created but landed with the finesse of a modern classic.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1½ oz · 45 mlCynar
- ½ oz · 15 mlGreen Chartreuse
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lime juice
- ½ oz · 15 mldemerara syrup
- 2 dashesAngostura bitters
- Angostura bitters mist to garnish
Method

Add all ingredients to shaker tin.

Shake with ice until chilled.
- 3
Fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora.
- 4
Garnish with a mist of Angostura bitters.
