Enduring The Eternal Molestation Of Volcanic Viscera While Undergoing Pelagic Obsequies
By Jason Alexander (@tikicommando) at Devil’s Reef, Tacoma, WA
About
This cocktail was created by Jason Alexander (@tikicommando) at Devil’s Reef in Tacoma. I reached out after seeing the bar post it, and Jason was kind enough to send me the specs directly. And yes, that entire sentence is actually the name. Jason’s own posts confirm the drink and its wonderfully excessive title.
The “volcanic” part is fitting for the specific rhum he uses. Rhum J.M Terroir Volcanique is produced in Martinique at the base of Mount Pelée and aged in heavily toasted American oak, with the expression designed around the distillery’s volcanic terroir. The drink itself goes big on tart tropical fruit and spice, with that full ounce of overproof Jamaican rum floated on top making sure it lives up to the name.Cheers y’all!
