This cocktail was created by Frederic Yarm (@fredericyarm) as a riff on the Hemingway Daiquiri. He splits the base between a funky Jamaican rum (Smith & Cross) and bitter Malört. Both of these play well with grapefruit on their own, and the combination works just as well here.Cheers y'all!
Ingredients
- 1 oz · 30 mloverproof Jamaican rum
- 1 oz · 30 mlMalört
- ½ oz · 15 mlmaraschino liqueur
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lime juice
- ½ oz · 15 mlsimple syrup
- grapefruit peel oil
Method

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin.

Add ice and shake until chilled.

Strain into a chilled coupe.

Express grapefruit peel oil over the surface.
- 5
Garnish with a grapefruit twist.
