About
This cocktail was created by Matthias Soberon (@servedbysoberon) as a riff on Matthew Belanger’s Fay Wray from Donna in New York City. The original uses a split base of aged rum, Cognac, and rhum agricole, while Matthias pushes the drink much more toward Cognac, dropping the aged rum and bumping up both the Cognac and agricole. He also swaps lime for lemon, which fits especially well with the more Cognac-forward build, while keeping the banana and Demerara that make the original so recognizable.Cheers y’all!
