Created by Matthias Soberon (@servedbysoberon), this is a Ma Tai riff that puts Hpnotiq to much better use than its early-2000s reputation might suggest. Hpnotiq contributes bright tropical fruit notes while letting the grassy character of the agricole remain the star.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1½ oz · 45 mlrhum agricole
- 1 oz · 30 mlHpnotiq
- 1 oz · 30 mlfresh lime juice
- ¼ oz · 7.5 mlorgeat
- 1 dashorange bitters
Method

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin.
- 2
Add ice and shake until chilled.
- 3
Strain into a glass filled with crushed ice.
- 4
Top with more crushed ice and garnish with a mint bouquet after slapping it to express the oils.
