After I shared another Jungle Word a couple of weeks ago by Ryan Magarian, Marco Ortiz (@not_barspoontv) reached out and showed me his version of a Jungle Word that he created a few years ago. I always love when different people land on similar ideas in their own way, so I had to give his a shake. His version leans more Chartreuse-forward, and without the maraschino it drinks more herbal and a touch drier.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlpineapple rum (Planteray Stiggins’ Fancy)
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlGreen Chartreuse
- ½ oz · 15 mlCampari
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lime juice
- ¼ oz · 7.5 mlpineapple juice
Method
- 1
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin.

Add ice and shake until chilled.
- 3
Strain into a chilled coupe or Nick and Nora.
- 4
Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
