This classic cocktail was created by Harry Craddock in 1935 at The American Bar (Savoy Hotel; London). It was made in honor of King George V’s Silver Jubilee. It follows a typical sour template and is reminiscent of an Aviation.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1½ oz · 45 mllight rum
- ½ oz · 15 mlmaraschino liqueur
- ½ oz · 15 mlfresh lemon juice
- maraschino cherry to garnish
Method

Add all ingredients to shaker tin.

Shake with ice until chilled.
- 3
Fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora.
- 4
Garnish with maraschino cherry.
