This cocktail was created by Timothy Gratta (@tcgrattaa), who sent it to me on Instagram after I asked people to share their original drinks. He told me it was the first cocktail he created that ever made it onto a menu. Rye gives it plenty of spice, while Drambuie brings honey and herbs and Fernet Branca adds its unmistakable bitter, minty character. The mint garnish ties everything together before you even take a sip.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1½ oz · 45 mlrye whiskey
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlDrambuie
- ½ oz · 15 mlFernet Branca
- ¼ oz · 7.5 mldemerara syrup
- 2 dashesAngostura bitters
Method

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass.

Add ice and stir until chilled.

Strain into a rocks glass over large-format ice.
- 4
Garnish with a mint bouquet.
