Meet a modern classic, the Old Cuban, which was created by the legendary Audrey Saunders in 2004 (New York). This is a delicious, minty daiquiri topped with champagne (or a champagne mojito?). I am always making these in the summer when I entertain…but I’ll drink these year round!Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1½ oz · 45 mlaged rum
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lime juice
- ½ oz · 15 mlsimple syrup
- 2 dashesAngostura bitters
- 6–8 mint leaves
- 1–2 oz/ 30–60 ml. champagne, to top
Method

Add all ingredients except champagne to shaker tin.

Shake with ice until chilled.

Fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora.

Top with champagne.
- 5
Garnish with mint bouquet.
