About
This cocktail was created by Miguel Buencamino (@holycityhandcraft) and appears in his brand-new book, Essential Cocktails: 85 Perfectly Crafted Recipes for Every Occasion. My copy just arrived in the mail, so naturally I had to start shaking some of the recipes.
Inspired by Terry’s Chocolate Orange, this one crosses that familiar holiday combination with an Espresso Martini. Rhum agricole brings a grassy, tropical character that keeps the chocolate and coffee from feeling overly rich, while orange and saline sharpen the edges. Miguel garnishes his with shaved chocolate, but I used cocoa powder because, surprisingly, I did not have any chocolate in the house.Cheers y’all!
