About
This cocktail was created by the brilliant Frederic Yarm (@fredericyarm). It is a riff on the Espionage (Eastern Standard, 2012) and it is unapologetically bold. Mezcal smoke meets the grassy funk of rhum agricole, with Montenegro and Cynar layering deep, bitter herbs. Yellow Chartreuse adds just enough sweetness and extra complexity to pull it all together. Ingredients
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlmezcal
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlrhum agricole
- ½ oz · 15 mlYellow Chartreuse
- ½ oz · 15 mlAmaro Montenegro
- ½ oz · 15 mlCynar
- orange peel oil
Method

Stir all ingredients with ice.

Strain into a glass.

Express orange peel oil over the surface.
