This Last Word riff is by Matthias Soberon. The lower ABV DOM Bénèdictine is used instead of Chartreuse. To balance, use a navy strength (higher ABV) gin. Use a little less maraschino so it doesn't overpower the Bénédictine. As Matthias says, "The existence of DOM Bénédictine implies the existence of SUB Bénédictine.”Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1 oz · 30 mlgin
- 1 oz · 30 mlDOM Bénédictine
- <1 oz. / 25 ml. maraschino liqueur
- 1 oz · 30 mlfresh lime juice
- absinthe mist
Method

Add all ingredients to shaker tin.

Shake with ice until chilled.
- 3
Fine strain into coupe or Nick and Nora.
- 4
Mist absinthe over surface.
- 5
No garnish (cuffs optional…).
