About
This cocktail was created by Joshua Madrid (@joshuamadrid7), who told me versions of it have appeared on menus around Portland for the past decade, including The Driftwood Room, The 1905, Multnomah Whiskey Library, Lovely Rita, and most recently in a new form at Malpractice. The Multnomah Whiskey Library menu listed basil syrup, while the version I made uses basil eau de vie and rich simple syrup. Its dark fruit, smoke, and warm spice make it a fantastic fall or winter drink.Cheers y’all!
