About
The cocktail dates back to the late 1800s, with Harry Johnson publishing a version close to this one in 1900. It is essentially an older, more dressed-up relative of the Martini, with just enough sweetness and anise to soften the dry base. I love how the small additions make it feel completely different without taking it too far from a classic gin cocktail.Cheers y’all!
