This one was created by Tony Burke (@barrelagedtony; Washington D.C.) and featured in The Bourbon Review’s Father’s Day cocktail article (2018). He made it for his dad who absolutely loves Bananas Foster and all things ginger. The name pokes fun at his dad, who doesn’t drink because “I don’t want to lose control of my faculties.” This one is a banger and even loved by my partner who isn’t big on whiskey and sours.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 2 oz · 60 mlbourbon
- ½ oz · 15 mlbanana liqueur
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lemon juice
- ½ oz · 15 mlginger syrup
- 3 dropstiki bitters, to garnish
Method

Add all ingredients to shaker tin.

Add ice and shake until chilled.

Strain into a glass over fresh ice.
- 4
Garnish with 3 drops tiki bitters over the surface and banana slice.
