This cocktail was created by Meaghan Dorman. It is a nice twist on a Mai Tai with the addition of an amaro. This recipe was modified by @catsdontdrinkcocktails who decided to wash Averna with the coconut oil. This adds an extra layer of flavor and mouthfeel.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1 oz · 30 mlaged Jamaican rum
- ½ oz · 15 mloverproof Jamaican rum
- ½ oz · 15 ml(coconut fat washed) Averna
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lime juice
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlorgeat
Method

Add all ingredients to shaker tin.

Add a small amount of crushed ice and shake until chilled.

Dirty dump into glass.

Top with crushed or pebble ice.
- 5
Garnish with mint bouquet after slapping it to express oils.
