About
This cocktail was created by Isaiah LaBelle (@onesipclub) and me while he was visiting Portland and we were out drinking and talking shop. The conversation drifted toward whiskey sours and Portland cocktails, and given our shared admiration for Jeffrey Morgenthaler’s work, it felt inevitable to build something around that framework. Rye provides structure, amaretto brings richness, and banana liqueur folds in a familiar element we both love. It’s a small ode to the Morgenthaler Amaretto Sour, built around flavors we both return to again and again.Cheers y’all!
