This cocktail was created in 2021 by William Greenwell for Mister Mao (New Orleans, LA). To say I didn’t save this recipe in part for the name would be a lie. This sipper is sort of a hybrid between a Black Manhattan and a Remember the Maine.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1½ oz · 45 mlbourbon
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlAverna
- ¼ oz · 7.5 mlcherry heering
- ¼ oz · 7.5 mldry curaçao
- 2 dashesAngostura bitters
Method
- 1
Add all ingredients to mixing glass.

Stir with ice until chilled.

Strain into a coupe.
- 4
Garnish with a cherry (or three).
