About
This cocktail was created by Dima Kalentos (@dima.kalentos). Banana and Fernet are one of those combinations that sound a little strange until you try them together. The ripe sweetness of banana softens Fernet’s intense minty, herbal bitterness, while Fernet keeps the banana from becoming too candy-like. It is a pairing that shows up in drinks like Petty Crime, Old Dog, New Tricks, and Away Colors. Here, gin and lime keep everything bright, while the small amount of maraschino adds another layer of fruit and nuttiness. There is a lot packed into this one, but the banana and Fernet are definitely what make it stand out.Cheers y’all!
