About
This cocktail was created in 2015 by Simon Difford of @diffordsguide. The name references Frank Fogarty, “The Dublin Minstrel,” the vaudeville performer often tied to the story of the original Last Word at the Detroit Athletic Club. I also like making a Last Word with the gin bumped up a bit, and the same logic works really well here. Giving the Irish whiskey a little extra room keeps it from getting lost instead of forcing it into an equal-parts build. If you don’t have a ⅔ oz. measure, ¾ oz. across the board works just fine too, or just pour a scant ¾ oz.Cheers y’all!
