This cocktail was created by Jack McGarry at The Dead Rabbit (New York City), putting a smooth Irish whiskey spin on the Sam Ross original, the Kentucky Maid. It’s a refreshing evolution of a modern classic, swapping bourbon for Irish whiskey and letting the crisp cucumber and citrus shine.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 2 oz · 60 mlIrish whiskey
- ½ oz · 15 mlelderflower liqueur
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lemon juice
- ½ oz · 15 mlsimple syrup
- 2 slices cucumber
Method

Add all ingredients to shaker tin.

Add ice and shake until chilled.

Fine strain into a glass over fresh ice.

Garnish with cucumber slice.
