About
This cocktail was created by Matthias Soberon (@servedbysoberon). Soberon says both the color and flavors were inspired by Mama D’Lo, or “Mother of the Water,” a figure from Caribbean folklore who protects rivers and the animals that live in them. He specifically chose gin and vermouth to give the drink a less predictable profile, with pineapple and lime bringing the tropical side and blue spirulina supplying that striking water-like color. I opted for butterfly pea extract as that is what I had on hand.Cheers y’all!
