About
This cocktail was created in 2010 by Jim Meehan (@mixography) after touring Zacapa’s rum production facilities in Guatemala. Inspired by a dessert he had there, it leans into the idea that if it grows together, it goes together. Banana liqueur adds softness and warmth, while Xocolatl mole bitters bring earthy chocolate and cinnamon spice that play beautifully with Zacapa No. 23 Rum. It’s rich, layered, and still very much an Old Fashioned at its core.Cheers y’all!
