This is my riff on the cocktail I posted yesterday by Anu Shukla (Pera De Mi Ojo). Here, I swap in banana for the pear, thus giving rise to the name, “Banana of my eye,” in Spanish. Rather than allspice, I used coffee liqueur, making this reminiscent of a carajillo.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1½ oz · 45 mltequila reposado
- ½ oz · 15 mlmezcal
- ½ oz · 15 mlbanana liqueur
- ¼ oz · 7.5 mlLicor 43
- ¼ oz · 7.5 mlcoffee liqueur
- orange peel oil
Method
- 1
Add all ingredients to mixing glass.

Stir with ice until chilled.

Strain into a glass over a BFC or clear ice sphere.

Express orange peel oil over surface.
- 5
Garnish with orange twist.
