This refreshing cocktail was created in 2010 by Alex Day for Death & Company. It is a twist on another cocktail he made, the Smoke and Mirrors, which is the same recipe except two dashes absinthe are used instead of Chartreuse. The Chartreuse gives this one a nice savory profile.Cheers y’all!
Ingredients
- 1 oz · 30 mlblended scotch
- ½ oz · 15 mlIslay scotch
- ¼ oz · 7.5 mlGreen Chartreuse
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlfresh lime juice
- ¾ oz · 22.5 mlsimple syrup
- 4 mint leaves
Method
- 1
Add all ingredients to a shaking tin (including mint).

Shake with ice until chilled.

Fine strain into rocks glass over a BFC.
- 4
Garnish with fresh mint bouquet after slapping to express oils.
