About
This cocktail was created by Tim Kirkland (@t1m_kirkland) during a live stream hosted by Steve the Bartender (@stevethebartender). Steve challenged Tim to create a riff on the Japanese Cocktail in real time, then had to wait for the recipe to appear on his end before he could make it, giving the drink its name. The original Japanese Cocktail pairs brandy with orgeat and bitters, but Tim replaces the brandy with blended and Islay Scotches. Malt, almond, dark chocolate, and a light thread of peat give it the character of a smoky, grown-up Almond Joy.Cheers y’all!
